The Administrative Court of Baghdad approves the decision to dismiss charges against Faiez Jahwareh and return him to his post as Mayor of Alqosh District

After the demonstrations organized by the Communist Party of Iraq and the Assyrian Democratic Movement in Alqosh against the decision to dismiss Faiez Abed Mikha (Jahwareh), Mayor of Alqosh District, in addition to the support of the people of Alqosh, and the pressure of our people around the world and the efforts of Al-Rafidain Members of Parliament, the Administrative Court in Baghdad responded to the decision to return Mr. Faiez Jahwareh to his position as Mayor of Alqosh. The Assyrian Cultural Center in Duhok commemorates the centenary of the martyrdom of Patriarch Mar Benyamin Shimun on the evening of Friday, March 16, 2018. ADM Leadership visit Tesqopa, Nineveh Plain

ADM Secretary General MP Yonadam Kanna alongside Deputy Secretary General MP Imad Youkhana visited the town of Tesqopa (Teleskof). Upon arriving, the Members of Parliament were greeted by Sennacherib Branch Director Marqus Eramya, Deputy Branch Director Saher Kalah, NPU Local Commander Fuad Massoud, along with several of our Movement’s members and local residents. The Assyrian Democratic Movement held its General meeting at its headquarters in Dohuk on March 9th, 2018, which included the participation of the Secretary General of the Movement, the members of the Central Committee, the candidates of the Central Committee, and Senior Cadres elected for each branch and office. Dr. Marleen Awisha Hormiz receives her PhD from the College of Media at the University of Baghdad

On Thursday, January 1st 2018, at the College of Media, University of Baghdad, and after hours of thesis dissertation, the researcher Marleen Awisha Hormiz was awarded a PhD with excellence on her research thesis titled, Employment of Social Networking Sites in the Psychological War Directed to the Iraqi Society (Daash messages in Twitter for example). The researcher received a Master’s Degree from the College of Media at the University of Baghdad in 2010 for her thesis titled, The Syriac Press in Iraq from 1972-2007 – Bahra Newspaper (Diaa, for example). Iraq’s Council of Ministers votes Mr. William Eshaya on the list of Ambassadors appointed by the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Iraq’s Council of Ministers voted on Tuesday November 28th on the list of Ambassadors appointed by the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The list includes 28 candidates for the post of Ambassador, including one of our people, the Minister Plenipotentiary Mr. William Eshaya Odisho. The list will be approved in the Iraqi Council of Representatives in the up coming days. Assault on a girl in the town of Bartella by a PMU soldier

Our sources from Bartella reported that a girl from the town has been attacked by a member of 30th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Unit. The girl, a member of our community, reported the act to judicial authorities. She filed a lawsuit against the accused offender and he is now detained on charges of harassment.A source close to Al-Hamdaniya police station said that the judge had ordered to detain the suspect in accordance with article 402 on harassment, the suspect is being held in al-Hamdaniya police station, adding that the law would take its course by taking fair measures against the offender. Theft and vandalism at Christian cemetery and Syriac School in Enishkeh village in Duhok.

A week ago, a group of unknown people vandalized a number of Christian graves in Enishkeh village of Dohuk Province. Then on Tuesday, November 28th, materials inside Enishkeh Syriac School were stolen as well. A source informed Zowaa. org that the group of unknown people stole the materials at Enishkeh Syriac School, security forces were at the scene and investigated the incident, and on Tuesday the materials from the teachers room of the same school were stolen.   he source added that a week ago, unidentified individuals vandalized the cemetery in the village and destroyed a number of tombs.
