ADM Illinois Sector hosts roundtable discussion amongst young local activists

On Friday, December 1st, the Assyrian Democratic Movement’s Illinois Sector hosted a roundtable discussion amongst young adult Assyrian activists entitled “Diaspora’s Role in the Assyrian National Struggle”. Four main points were covered in the discussion: * Policy: Iraq & United States of America Erasing Assyrians: How the KRG Abuses Human Rights, Undermines Democracy, and Conquers Minority Homelands * Social Media: Leveraging our presence to make a difference * Mobilization: Taking action locally, nationally, and internationally on a united front The discussion was led by Illinois Sector Director, Alexander David, along with contributions from a variety of activists that elaborated on the topics and brainstormed advancement suggestions.
