شاركت الجمعية الآشورية الخيرية ممثلةً برئيسها السيد آشور سركون اسخريا في أعمال الدورة 39 لمجلس حقوق الإنسان والمنعقدة في مدينة جنيف بسويسرا للفترة من 10-28 أيلول 2018. وقد قدمت الجمعية الآشورية الخيرية كلمة مشتركة مع الاتحاد الإنجيلي العالمي (World Evangelical Alliance) ) قدمها السيد وسام الصليبي ضمن البند العاشر من أعمال الدورة 39 لمجلس حقوق الإنسان تضمنت الإشارة إلى معاناة أبناء شعبنا القاطنين في مناطق برواري بالا ونهلة وغيرها من المناطق نتيجة القصف التركي وما سببه من أضرار جسيمة في الأرواح والممتلكات أدى بعضها إلى ترك المواطنين لقراهم والنزوح إلى دهوك، وشددوا في كلمتهم إلى ضرورة حماية المدنيين وممتلكاتهم والحفاظ على السلم الأهلي في المنطقة وتشجيع المزارعين للعودة إلى مناطقهم.

AAS-Iraq participates in the 39th Session of the Human Rights Council – Geneva
The Assyrian Aid Society-Iraq, represented by its President, Mr. Ashur Eskrya, participated in the 39th Session of the Human Rights Council, held in Geneva, Switzerland, from Sep.10th – 28th 2018. The Assyrian Aid Society presented a joint statement with the World Evangelical Alliance, represeted by Mr. Wissam al-Saliby during their participation under item 10 of the 39th session of the Human Rights Council included a highlighting the suffering of our people living in the areas of Barwari Bala, Nahla and other areas as a result of the Turkish bombardment and the severe damage caused to lives and property. Some of these resulted in the abandonment of the people to villages and displacing to Duhok, the statement stressed on the need to protect civilians and their property, the maintain of civil peace in the region and encourage farmers to return to their areas.
